Roglich won all of the weekly races, as did the prestigious autumn classics that preceded Il Lombardy. On the Italian monument itself, he managed to take only seventh place, but this did not spoil the overall impression of the season.
Tom Dumoulin joins Team Jumbo – Visma next year, and there is also Steven Kreiswijk. It is not yet clear what kind of cycling racing schedule Roglich will have in 2020. He may be a good betting option.
Egan Bernal
Who hasn’t had any failures at the big cycling races this year is the Colombian Egan Bernal. He either won or became a prize-winner of all important cycling starts in which he took part. During this year, the Colombian managed to win two of the three prestigious weekly multi-day world tour events in which he performed. “Paris – Nice” and “Tour of Switzerland” were submitted to him. Bernal failed to win the Vuelta Catalunya, but got into the top three, which is also very worthy.
A stable result without failures and a victory at the Tour de France put Bernal in second place in our ranking of the best. It seems that next year he will try to defend his title, he will have to share the leadership in Team INEOS with Chris Froome. Also worth betting on him.
Julian Alaphilippe
Frenchman Julian Alafilippe’s season turned out to be very bright, it had enough ups and downs. At the beginning of the year, he was in excellent condition and won Milan-San Remo, Strade Bianche and Flash Wallon races.
